Our Commitment to the Deaf Community
At Deaf Kit, we’re dedicated to making a difference. Our mission is to provide valuable resources that support awareness and education, while also offering quality products, such as our running kit, which clearly states that the wearer is deaf (coming soon). We believe everyone deserves access to the right tools and information, and we strive to promote a more inclusive world for all.
Our Logo

The Deaf Kit logo represents the shape of a human ear with a human running (with speed trail) covering most of the ear area, which shows the running or sport aspect of our clothing kit. The top right of the ‘ear’ has been replaced with the three curves of a WiFi connection icon, this shows that we will post information about how technology can help you, especially for those who have recently lost their hearing.
Meet Our Team
Here’s a look at the wonderful individuals that make up our team.

Paul Curtis
Founder of Deaf Kit
I recently had sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) , and while there were resources online that had some information about what to do, there didn’t seem to be one place for it all. My aim with this site is to offer as much information as possible to those who suddenly can’t hear, probably can’t lipread, or understand sign language, and how to get back up and understand the world around you, without sound.
I also enjoy trail running and found that (as I don’t wear hearing aids while running) cars or tractors could come up behind me on narrow country roads and I wouldn’t know they were there, so I wanted to make some clothing that lets drivers know I’m deaf, so that they don’t get annoyed and are invited to hoot!
Core Values That Drive Us
At Deaf Kit, we believe in empowering the deaf community through quality products and support. Our core values center on inclusivity, respect, and a commitment to enhancing the everyday lives of our site visitors and our customers. We aim to provide reliable information and innovative running gear, making sure every step counts for everyone.
